    NHSS focuses on the following:
Peer learning is one of the strongest and very efficient way to improve the leadership quality as well as the skill to work in teams. Younger kids learn from older kids, and the older kids reinforce their own learning by teaching the younger kids. Children can choose their own activities (with guidance and encouragement from teachers).
Specially-designed learning materials (NOT toys!) A deliberately arranged classroom environment with no or very less formal seating arrangement.
No grades or tests: Teachers trained at authentic Montessori training centers and certified.
