Aisha Bawany Academy Girls Branch
Mission
We believe that education is a partnership between home, school and students and place great emphasis to keep the partnership in complete harmony. Students learn best at school and home if the parents are also involved in the process. It is generally assumed that when the children join the school the duties of their parents end. On the other hand we believe that our duty begins and the parents duties continue complimenting with that of the school. Our students are groomed in such a way that they turn out be extrovert individuals rather than passive introverts.
Aisha Bawany Academy is functioning since July 1961. Its main object was to create education specially to students belonging to poor community.
The Academy was established by The Begum Aisha Bawany Wakf, founded in memory of the late Begum Aisha Bawany by her heirs. The foundation stone of the Aisha Bawany Academy was laid on October 29, 1957 and the School became operational in July 1961. Mr. Ebrahim Ahmed Bawany (Late) founder & lifetime Chairman of the Academy was a visionary. He anticipated the future needs of the ever growing metropolis city & built the most aesthetically appealing school buildings for boys & girls separately in the heart of Karachi. With the passage of time, The Academy acquired a reputation of excellence in the field of primary, secondary and college education.
The Academy was nationalized in 1972. After thirteen years under state control, the academy was handed back to the original sponsors but in a deplorable and pathetic state. It has since taken the tireless and dedicated efforts of many individuals to revitalize the Academy. The academy has the following section.
